Interested in fostering?

We are always looking for more foster families! Fostering a pug in need is a rewarding experience and foster families get the first option to adopt their foster pug when they are available. The rescue covers all medical bills while a pug is in foster care. Extra supplies for special needs dogs can also be covered.

We have foster homes all across Michigan and in bordering states!

If you have questions about being a foster family, email our foster coordinator, Hali, at midmichiganpugfosters@gmail.com. To apply to be a foster family, click the button below to fill out the Foster Home Application form.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • We always need people who can help transport pugs to foster homes or veterinary appointments. We will keep your information on a list and contact you when transport needs arise to see if you are available to help.

  • Every June our club hosts a Pug picnic at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge, Michigan. We have pug games such as hot dog dunk, cake walk, best kisser, curliest tail, biggest pug, etc. It's great fun and you get to meet other pug lovers. As a volunteer, you might help greet newcomers, cook hot dogs, judge contests, sell pug-related items, or assist with set-up/clean-up.

  • We can always use help with events and fundraising. If you have experience in this area or have ideas for events, reach out!

If you are interested in any of the above opportunities or would like to learn more, contact Rachel at adoptpugs@hotmail.com.
